The
essence of Sri Kelimaal
The seed and essence of all and the land of utmost
devotion Sri Vrindavan, witness the everlasting play
and ongoing continual activities of Sri Kunjbihari and
Sri Kunjbiharini. In this land everything is in the
form of ONE. There is one love, one sweet nectar, and
one form of beauty which cannot be encompassed. This
love and sweet nectar keeps increasing every fraction
of second and this in turn keeps the divine couple non
satiated, enamoured, impatient and longing for each
other, in spite of the fact that they are always with
each other every second. Their intense love for each
other does not allow them to separate and are for ever
in a state of ecstasy. The rasiks thrive on this sweet
nectar and it is their lifeline. To bless these rasiks
with the love and nectar of the divine couple in the
form of their service, Sri Lalita Sakhi in accordance
with their wishes incarnated in Vrindavan as Sri Haridas.
He appeared in a village called Rajpur. He was initiated
by Sri Swami Ashudhir in the NImbarkiya Sampraday which
was a mere formality. Sri Haridas ji renounced the worldly
pleasures and devoted him self in spreading the message
of the pure and highest love! His simple way of life
and his purpose took him to the zenith of devotion.
In this divine state, he sang the glories of Sri Shyama
Shyam and these words were later known by the name of
Sri Kelimaal. This consists of 110 'pads'. Kelimaal
is the vast ocean of the continuous joyous and loving
pastimes of Sri Kunjbihari couple which is impossible
to cross. The only way one can understand and enjoy
the nectar of this sweet ocean is only through the blessings
and mercy of Sri Haridas ji as he is the only empowered
one. The teachings of Sri Kelimaal are the life and
soul of the rasiks and are to be followed with full
devotion in this Sampraday. |

And because they are all about the divine couple, the meanings
are very grave. All the vaanis are the essence of the teachings
of Sri Kelimaal only. Some acharyas have translated Sri Kelimaal
in form of poetry (Doha-Padya) like Sri Pitambar Devji wrote
“Aabhas-Ultha” Sri Swami Radhasharan Devji wrote
“Vastu-darshani” and Swami Nagri Devji wrote “Bhavarth-dIpika”in
prose (Gadya) in Braj language. The latter is relatively simpler
to understand. If rasik devotees read and follow this scripture
sincerely, they will be able to understand its grave meanings
too. Sri Swami Pitambar Dev ji initiated Sri Swami Nagri Devji
in 1791.
